The 15th and final annual Zeitgeist Day Global Main Event—focused on sustainability—was hosted in the Czech Republic. Its primary goal was to raise awareness among a broad audience about the underlying root causes of many social, ecological, and technical challenges we face today. Additionally, the event aimed to inspire hope and present plausible solutions to these pressing issues.
This event marked the end of an era for the Zeitgeist Movement, as it had organizing this series of conferences that have persisted within the movement for over 15 years. At the time, organizing these events had become increasingly difficult—due to pandemic-related restrictions, the inactivity and dissolution of some parts of the movement, such as global administrations, and a growing emphasis on decentralization and local activities within TZM. As a result, the Prague event was the final installment in this series—for now.
Held at Spojka Karlín, located in the heart of Prague, the venue comfortably seated over 100 attendees. During the event, participants enjoyed a buffet of food and beverages while engaging with a full program starting at 12:00 CET/UTC+1 on Saturday, August 26th.
The event was nearly fully booked for the first time since the 2019 global gathering in Buenos Aires, and there was a truly international crowd present. The event was livestreamed and, for the fourth time, simultaneously translated into Czech and English and vice-versa through headsets—ensuring seamless communication between local and global audiences. Most speakers of the event were Czech, who were able to participate in their native language while being translated for international viewers online. The day wrapped up with a lively Q&A session, followed by words of gratitude to everyone who contributed to this series global events. Participants then celebrated with a large after-party, closing this chapter with camaraderie and hope.
The revolution is now.
