The 2021 annual Zeitgeist Day Main Event was the movement's global sustainability conference that was the first time held in Asia, taking place at the Library of the National University of Mongolia in Ulaanbaatar, the country’s capital. Due to ongoing challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic, which also impacted last year’s global event, the number of international guests was limited. The event was live-streamed and, notably, became the third international TZM event to be simultaneously translated from another language to English and vice-versa. This translation facilitated the sharing of innovative knowledge and information with viewers and listeners from numerous countries across the globe.
The majority of speakers were from Mongolia, many of whom were participating on a global platform for the first time. The event’s themes centered on global change and proactive actions, emphasizing the growing role of TZM in Asia and its potential to help bridge the gap between Western and Eastern perspectives.
Despite differences—in language, culture, geography, and living environments—everyone faces similar problems and challenges. This shared reality underscores the importance of setting aside our differences. Ultimately, we must work together to create a healthy, inclusive society that benefits everyone on this planet.
